This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager, M&A & Large Projects based in the United States. This role leads high-visibility mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, integrations, and other complex business initiatives. You’ll independently drive projects from early planning through execution, coordinating multiple workstreams and stakeholders. The position requires strong judgment, organization, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while keeping initiatives moving forward. You’ll collaborate across finance, legal, HR, product, engineering, operations, security, leadership, and external partners. Your work will help ensure critical projects remain aligned, risks are addressed early, and teams maintain accountability. The role offers significant ownership and visibility, with the opportunity to improve M&A processes and broader project management practices. This is a fully remote position with travel of up to 35% depending on project requirements.

The Senior Project Manager will lead complex cross-functional initiatives while maintaining project visibility, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and execution discipline across multiple concurrent workstreams. Lead project management for mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, integrations, and other major cross-functional initiatives from planning through successful execution. Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and decision logs across multiple initiatives. Coordinate teams across finance, legal, HR, product, engineering, operations, security, leadership, and external partners. Support due diligence by organizing data requests, tracking open items, coordinating stakeholders, and maintaining momentum across workstreams. Drive integration planning and execution, including readiness activities, dependency management, and post-close follow-through. Identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and key decision points early and proactively develop resolution strategies. Facilitate executive-level communications, status reporting, governance meetings, and stakeholder alignment. Manage competing priorities while maintaining clear visibility into overall project health. Drive accountability across teams while fostering collaboration, trust, and clarity. Improve internal M&A processes, integration playbooks, and operational best practices. Support teams through changing priorities and evolving business needs with a calm, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach. Travel up to 35% as required by project needs. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings extensive project or program management experience, strong executive communication skills, and a proven ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple functions, systems, vendors, and stakeholders. 8+ years of project or program management experience in M&A, corporate development, consulting, financial services, enterprise technology, operations, or similarly complex environments. Prior experience leading an M&A project. Experience leading or supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or other high-visibility cross-functional initiatives. Ability to work independently in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities. Proven ability to build alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly to executives, teams, and external partners. Sound judgment and discretion when managing sensitive or confidential initiatives. Experience managing projects involving multiple systems, functions, vendors, and cross-functional dependencies. Highly organized, flexible, and pragmatic approach, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate issues before they become roadblocks. Experience recovering or stabilizing challenged projects or programs and navigating ambiguity during organizational change. Experience with due diligence coordination, integration planning, and post-close execution is preferred. Experience with change management, process improvement, or operational integration is preferred. Experience in SaaS, software, financial services, or other regulated industries is valued. Experience managing distributed or remote teams is a plus. PMP or related project management certification is welcome but not required. Benefits: Expected salary range of $150,000–$250,000 per year. Compensation determined based on experience, skills, and overall qualifications. Fully remote work environment within the United States.
