Senior QA Engineer (Rust/Java), Margin

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior QA Engineer (Rust/Java), Margin based in India. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of sophisticated margin trading products and risk systems. You will design and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks using Java and/or Rust across complex trading workflows. Working throughout the software development lifecycle, you will contribute to test planning, execution, defect resolution, delivery, and ongoing maintenance. The position involves testing high-concurrency, distributed, and security-sensitive systems across web, mobile, and backend environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and operations teams to influence testing strategies and product quality. Your work will help strengthen test coverage, improve automation efficiency, and support secure, reliable, and high-performance trading experiences at global scale.

Participate across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and test planning through execution, defect tracking, product delivery, and maintenance. Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and tools using Java and/or Rust. Work closely with software engineers, product managers, designers, and operations teams to provide feedback on system design, implementation, and testing strategies. Set up and maintain testing environments for complex margin trading and risk management systems. Develop detailed test plans and test cases covering trading workflows, margin calculations, liquidation processes, risk controls, and high-concurrency scenarios. Perform black-box, white-box, security, automation, and performance testing across web, mobile, backend, and distributed systems. Investigate defects and system issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams on effective resolutions. Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing methodologies, coverage, and overall testing efficiency. Stay current with Java, Rust, and emerging QA technologies and methodologies to strengthen product quality and reliability. Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in QA automation, software testing, or a closely related engineering role, preferably within technology, fintech, or trading environments. Strong programming skills in Java and/or Rust, with practical experience applying these languages to automated testing or software development. Familiarity with automated testing methodologies, distributed systems, and high-concurrency architectures. Strong understanding of software quality practices across complex backend and distributed environments. Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, particularly when investigating performance and system issues. Ability to develop structured test plans and comprehensive test cases for complex technical workflows. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering, product, design, and operations teams. Proactive approach to learning new technologies, testing methodologies, and automation techniques. Familiarity with AI tools or large language models is a plus.
