Senior Software Engineer: Configuration Management/Deployment

About the Role The Amsterdam Infrastructure team is part of Ubers global Platform Engineering organisation and aims to provide the highest quality, reliable, scalable and secure compute/data platforms to Uber employees globally, backed by a strong commitment to customer service. We have a sophisticated infrastructure spanning both on-premise data centers and cloud, supporting a diverse variety of workloads, each different in its characteristics and requirements that support our internal corporate use cases and teams As we grow our Amsterdam team, we look for experienced engineers who are keen to solve infrastructure challenges at a massive scale! What the Candidate Will Do Write and review code for VM-based application deployments, security tooling, and OS hardening. Partner with internal teams to help them deploy their applications into the environment Devise, maintain, and optimize safe deployment pipelines Basic Qualifications Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Expertise in configuration management/code deployment pipelines and strategies Skilled in system-level architecture, like Linux or Windows Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the Elastic stack GCP, AWS, and/or Kubernetes certifications are strongly preferred We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
