The engineer will own services from technical design through deployment and observability, work with product, design and mobile or web teams, improve reliability and performance, mentor engineers and influence backend architecture and standards beyond one squad. The platform uses microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, relational databases, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, Redis and event-driven processing.
Requirements & qualifications
Applicants should have at least six years of backend engineering experience, including high-traffic consumer systems, strong TypeScript and Node.js proficiency, working knowledge of Go or the ability to learn it quickly, microservices and API-design experience, production AWS and Kubernetes experience, relational database and search-system expertise, event-driven architecture experience and strong observability and incident-management practices. AI or LLM integration, edge computing, marketplace systems and geospatial data are useful additional strengths.
