Senior Software Engineer - Privileged Access Management (PAM / IAM)

Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Privileged Access Management (PAM / IAM) based in India. This is a senior engineering role focused on evolving secure, scalable cloud platforms and strengthening privileged access capabilities for enterprise environments. You will design highly available microservices, integrate enterprise PAM and identity solutions, and contribute to Zero Trust and least-privilege security practices. The role combines hands-on backend development with architecture, DevOps, automated testing, observability, and technical leadership. You will work across C#, .NET, Go, TypeScript, gRPC, AWS, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD technologies in a fast-moving SaaS environment. You will also help introduce structured AI-assisted engineering workflows and mentor engineers across the team. Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available microservices using C#, .NET Core, Go, TypeScript, gRPC, REST APIs, and the ABP framework. Design and implement enterprise Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities using technologies such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, and HashiCorp Vault. Apply Zero Trust and Least Privilege principles while supporting identity integrations using standards such as SCIM. Own and improve end-to-end continuous delivery pipelines using technologies including Origin CI, Kargo, and WoK. Develop comprehensive automated testing strategies covering unit, functional, and Playwright end-to-end testing, as well as performance, scalability, and reliability testing. Drive adoption of structured AI-assisted development practices using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot. Mentor engineers, conduct technical and RFC reviews, and contribute to shared engineering standards and team knowledge libraries. Develop cross-platform services and native desktop applications supporting enterprise workflows across macOS, Windows, and Linux. Implement telemetry, logging, tracing, and other observability capabilities to monitor system health, reduce latency, and maintain SLA/SLO targets. Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and other engineering teams to address technical debt, modernize legacy components, and establish consistent engineering practices. Participate in incident management, take ownership of production issues, contribute to post-incident reviews, and drive timely resolution of critical incidents. Contribute to Agile delivery processes while balancing immediate product needs with long-term architecture, security, reliability, and maintainability. Requirements 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership in a Lead Architect, Senior Staff Engineer, or comparable role within a modern product or SaaS environment. Deep expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and the ABP Framework, combined with strong experience in Go, gRPC, and RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database architectures, including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and DocumentDB. Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and custom CI/CD automation pipelines. Strong knowledge of automated testing practices, including Playwright for end-to-end testing and tools or frameworks for load and stress testing. Experience with privileged access management, identity and access management, Zero Trust, least-privilege security, and enterprise identity integrations is highly relevant. Direct experience establishing or applying spec-driven AI development workflows in production engineering environments. Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native architecture, reliability engineering, and observability. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, design, and infrastructure teams. Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, conduct architecture or RFC reviews, and influence technical standards. Strong ownership and accountability, particularly when responding to production incidents and driving issues through resolution. Fluent written and spoken English, as English is the primary language used for internal collaboration and the recruitment process. Must be located in and authorized to work in India without requiring employer sponsorship. Willingness and ability to participate in assigned on-call shifts and respond to production alerts when required.
