Design, build, and operate Azure services that provision, manage, and monitor the health of millions of cloud-based virtual devices for their storage and network. Own the architecture of secure, distributed, scalable, and resilient microservices for a major component area — from design through implementation to live-site operation. Mentor engineers on the team, raise the technical bar through design and code review, and help sustain a data- and results-driven engineering culture. Share in live-site ownership for your services — monitoring, diagnostics, and incident response — and drive improvements that reduce operational burden. You'll work primarily in C# on .NET, building distributed services on Azure with technologies such as CosmosDB, async workflow orchestration, and ARM-based resource management — and you'll deepen your expertise in cloud compute, virtualization, and remote desktop technologies along the way. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, AND 4+ years of such experience. OR equivalent experience Demonstrated experience building and shipping production applications or services. Solid technical design skills, with a track record of driving large-scale system designs for commercial products or services. Professional working proficiency in English, written and verbal. Expertise in designing and operating large-scale distributed services in a public cloud environment. Solid coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with a solid grounding in object-oriented design. Experience with virtualization, hypervisors, or remote desktop and streaming protocols is a plus. Genuine interest in mentoring early-in-career engineers. Ability to ramp up quickly, navigate ambiguity, and deliver solutions that span multiple products and teams. Solid communication skills for effective collaboration within the team and across groups.
