Our partner is looking for a Senior Strategy Manager, Customer Segment Strategy (Health Systems) based in United States. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare strategy, market access, customer engagement, and commercial decision-making. You will shape access and contracting strategies across a broad portfolio of products serving the Health Systems segment. The position combines rigorous analysis with strategic thinking to help expand patient access while supporting sustainable business outcomes. You will work closely with Customer Engagement, Pricing, Access & Evidence Strategy, External Affairs, Legal, and commercial teams. The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and complex customer, reimbursement, and policy challenges. You’ll help translate market intelligence and contract performance into actionable recommendations and scalable strategies. The position can be performed remotely, with travel required for customer engagement, account planning, and team collaboration.

Lead the development and execution of access and contracting strategies designed to expand patient access while supporting business and profitability objectives. Serve as a strategic liaison between Customer Engagement Account Teams, pricing and contracting teams, External Affairs, Legal, and therapeutic-area stakeholders. Develop innovative approaches for emerging customer types and complex segments, navigating ambiguity and leading high-impact cross-portfolio initiatives. Provide analytical insights, negotiation strategies, and customer-facing talking points to account teams and Market Access leaders. Participate in customer engagements and negotiations when appropriate, helping teams address complex access and reimbursement challenges. Analyze contract performance across key customers and translate findings into scalable insights and recommendations for senior leadership. Partner with segment and regional account leaders to strengthen strategic relationships, support account planning, and address complex commercial challenges. Monitor healthcare industry trends, policy developments, reimbursement changes, and customer evolution to identify risks and emerging opportunities. Influence cross-functional decision-making by combining market intelligence, financial considerations, customer needs, and therapeutic-area priorities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. At least 5 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including areas such as payer or contracting strategy, account management, consulting, market analysis, health economics, distribution strategy, or managed care finance. At least 5 years of experience working in a Market Access function. Broad U.S. Market Access experience spanning multiple therapeutic areas. Strong expertise in pricing, contracting, distribution, and/or policy strategies within the U.S. healthcare landscape. Demonstrated experience developing and executing market access strategies. Deep understanding of reimbursement environments and strategic considerations within relevant customer segments. Proven ability to collaborate with, influence, and align cross-functional teams in complex and evolving environments. Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to identify problems proactively and develop practical solutions. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-engagement skills. Ability to communicate complex commercial and healthcare concepts effectively to a wide range of audiences. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% for account planning, customer engagement, and other business needs. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Direct customer experience within the relevant Health Systems segment is preferred. Benefits Expected salary range of $161,000–$299,000 annually based on the primary South San Francisco location, with actual compensation determined by experience, qualifications, location, and other applicable factors. Potential eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and organizational performance. Comprehensive employee benefits package. Remote work option for eligible candidates, with the primary preferred location in South San Francisco.
