Our partner is looking for a Sênior Tech Manager | Jornada de Empresa (afirmativa para pessoas negras (pretas e pardas) based in Brazil. This role leads an engineering team while connecting people management, product priorities, and technology strategy. You will be responsible for creating an environment where high-performing developers can deliver quality software sustainably. The position combines strong software engineering expertise with leadership, career development, and operational excellence. You will influence technical decisions, architecture discussions, platform strategy, and the balance between technical debt and business priorities. The role also involves planning team capacity, managing budgets, optimizing workflows, and removing delivery obstacles. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders, translating complex information into clear priorities and aligning expectations around impact and delivery. Lead, develop, mentor, and empower software engineering teams, fostering a high-performance environment focused on delivery quality, team well-being, collaboration, and sustainable growth. Provide technical direction by applying strong software engineering expertise, contributing to architecture discussions, understanding system responsibilities and integrations, and guiding the team toward scalable and sustainable solutions. Support platform strategy by directing the development of reusable and scalable solutions that can serve multiple products and contribute to long-term technology evolution. Promote operational excellence by ensuring the team maintains effective monitoring, operation, maintenance, and reliability practices for its products and systems. Manage technical planning and prioritization, influencing the backlog for short-term needs and the product roadmap for longer-term initiatives while balancing technical debt with business objectives. Optimize team processes and workflows by identifying opportunities to remove impediments, improve productivity, and make software delivery more efficient. Contribute actively to product vision and roadmap discussions, ensuring technical decisions support long-term objectives, business impact, and innovation. Plan, manage, and optimize the team's budget, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and contribute to strong return on investment. Drive career development by understanding individual aspirations, providing effective feedback and mentorship, and aligning people's growth with team and product objectives. Manage team capacity, recruitment, and allocation processes to ensure the engineering organization has the appropriate skills and resources to meet its goals. Delegate effectively and follow up at the appropriate level of detail, adapting the management approach to different situations and individuals. Identify and resolve conflicts constructively while creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that encourages diverse perspectives and collaboration. Build strong relationships with peers and stakeholders, adapting communication to technical and business audiences and translating technical concepts into clear business language. Align stakeholder expectations with delivery capacity, communicating progress, outcomes, and generated value transparently while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Requirements: Significant experience as a Senior Tech Manager leading, mentoring, and developing software engineering teams, particularly individual contributors. Strong professional background in software engineering, with practical understanding of scalable and sustainable technology solutions. Experience with distributed architectures, microservices, and scalable systems, including the ability to participate meaningfully in architectural discussions. Hands-on knowledge of cloud computing environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Familiarity with engineering metrics, including DORA Metrics, and the ability to use operational data to support team and delivery decisions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to both technical and business audiences and build effective relationships with stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage expectations, communicate delivery constraints, and connect technical initiatives with business outcomes. Executive-level perspective, with the ability to synthesize complex information, identify the most relevant points, and communicate them clearly to different audiences. Strong delegation, mentoring, talent development, and people-management capabilities, combined with a results-oriented approach and focus on business impact. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Datadog, or similar platforms is considered a differentiator.
