Senior Technical proposal writer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Proposal Writer based in India. This is a remote role supporting an expanding business development and proposal function within a technology-focused environment. You will translate complex technical solutions into clear, compelling proposal content that addresses customer challenges and communicates value. The role combines strong technical writing, research, strategic thinking, and close collaboration with subject matter experts and solution architects. You will take ownership of technical sections, facilitate knowledge-gathering sessions, and ensure responses are accurate, compliant, and persuasive. Your work will contribute directly to high-quality proposals across areas such as data science, analytics, application development, modernization, and digital transformation. The position offers an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams while helping strengthen reusable content, proposal processes, and organizational knowledge.

Lead the development of compliant, compelling technical proposal content that aligns with the strategic response plan and reflects customer needs and insights. Research customer requirements and challenges to ensure proposals are relevant, persuasive, and focused on the value of the proposed solution. Collaborate closely with Capture Leads, Proposal Managers, Account Teams, Subject Matter Experts, Solution Architects, and other proposal contributors. Facilitate meetings and working sessions with SMEs and Solution Architects to capture technical solution information and develop compliant proposal sections. Conduct interviews with technical experts and translate complex solution concepts into clear, accessible, and compelling written responses. Take ownership of crafting the Technical Approach and ensuring technical content accurately communicates the proposed solution. Manage content development in line with review milestones and quality expectations, including compliance with RFx requirements and proposal design standards. Perform quality-control reviews to identify gaps, inconsistencies, formatting issues, and compliance concerns before submission. Work with proposal leadership to build and maintain repositories of reusable content, templates, and other proposal artifacts. Contribute to improving the internal knowledge base and increasing the efficiency and consistency of future proposal development efforts. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 3–5 years of experience in proposal writing or technical writing, specifically supporting U.S. government proposals. Strong understanding of technical and IT concepts, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling business-oriented content. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Experience creating and editing compelling graphics and visual content using Microsoft PowerPoint. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality, accuracy, and compliance. Shipley or equivalent proposal training or certification is highly desirable. Experience creating or editing graphics using Adobe Photoshop is an advantage. References must be provided. Ability to work EST hours is required. Benefits Full-time remote position based in India.
