Senior Unity Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Unity Developer based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to take a leading technical role in the development of successful casual and hybrid-casual mobile games. You will oversee key stages of the game development lifecycle, from feature development and code architecture to release and ongoing live-service improvements. Working closely with design, production, and engineering teams, you will help shape complex features and deliver high-quality components on schedule. You will also contribute to technical direction, code quality, performance, and continuous product improvement. The position combines hands-on development with mentoring and technical leadership responsibilities. It is well suited to an experienced Unity developer who enjoys innovation, collaboration, and building games for large and engaged player communities.

Lead and oversee the game development lifecycle, taking ownership of key coding activities and contributing to product design decisions. Develop complex features and large game components while ensuring quality, scalability, and delivery against established timelines. Collaborate with team members to refine technical requirements and translate product concepts into effective game functionality. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of games by identifying opportunities for technical and product enhancements. Maintain high standards of code quality through code reviews, debugging, performance analysis, and continuous optimization. Work closely with Design and Production teams to coordinate development activities, manage schedules, and meet project deadlines. Mentor and support other developers, helping align technical execution with the overall product vision. Contribute to efficient development workflows and help manage team pipelines across different stages of production. Requirements: Extensive professional experience developing games with Unity3D. Strong experience in mobile 3D game development and a thorough understanding of the full mobile game development and release lifecycle. Experience working on live-service games and supporting products after launch. Strong knowledge of debugging, performance profiling, optimization, and code analysis. Experience with source control and project management tools such as Git and Jira. Experience working with Unity GUI and/or NGUI frameworks. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues. Experience working within Agile or similar project management methodologies. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, design, and production teams. Ability and willingness to mentor other team members and take ownership of technical deliverables. Availability to work within European time zones.
