Proudly founded in Melbourne, we have a team of over 2,300 of the brightest and most innovative people in tech across 27 offices around the globe. Valued at US$11 billion and backed by world-leading investors including T. Rowe Price, Visa, Mastercard, Robinhood Ventures, Sequoia, Salesforce Ventures, DST Global, and Lone Pine Capital, Airwallex is leading the charge in building the global payments and financial platform of the future. Attributes We Value

We hire successful builders with founder-like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role-related expertise and sharp thinking, and you’re motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.

You're humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you “get stuff done” end-to-end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you’ll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let’s build what’s next.

About the team

The People & Talent team at Airwallex is dedicated to attracting and developing the brightest and most ambitious minds to drive our company forward. We are a global, vibrant, and dynamic team with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth and innovation. Through innovative programs, strategic People & Talent initiatives, and a deep understanding of our organization’s needs, we cultivate a collaborative and engaging environment that fuels Airwallex's continued growth and success.

What you’ll do

We have rapidly grown our footprint across the Asia Pacific region as our business and teams continue to grow. Our Workplace Experience role is a unique blend of managing our workplaces (including expansion) and building community in our Malaysia office.

Success in this role means that we can plan ahead for our office/desk needs as we grow, our office is well-stocked with snacks and drinks, and our employees have opportunities to come together as a Malaysia community. You will also support our other workplace needs in other regions alongside local teams. Our team adds value by supporting people with the workspace, tools, and wellbeing initiatives for them to do their best work at Airwallex.

Responsibilities:

  • Workspace Management: Ensure our Malaysia facilities and offices are well-maintained, safe, clean, and welcoming by partnering with building management and in-house IT

  • Project Management: Support office expansions, new space requirements, working with the building management, and working with cross-functional teams to outfit new offices in line with Airwallex’s workplace vibe

  • Community Engagement: Build, drive, and execute a calendar of social, wellbeing, educational, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) events for teams, actively leading the Malaysia social committee, business leaders, and internal champions

  • Vendor Management: Maintain effective relationships with cleaning staff, building management, neighboring tenants, and other vendors to ensure seamless office operations

  • Budget & Invoice Management: Manage office-related budgets for snacks, drinks, events, and space; collaborate with Finance on invoice processing and resource allocation

  • Onboarding Support: Support new joiners so they feel welcomed and integrated into our workplace community.

  • Support workplace events, which may include handling a variety of food and beverage items (including non-halal food and alcohol)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a people-focused role—such as workplace experience, employee engagement, office management, facilities, or hospitality/events management

  • Skilled in managing vendors to deliver on deadlines and stay within budget for office supplies, employee events, and space expansion initiatives

  • Proven track record supporting workplace expansions, with familiarity in building management relationships. Proactive problem solver who seeks opportunities and solutions.

  • Passionate about bringing people together, serving as a cultural touchstone, and acting as the friendly, approachable face of the office or team

  • Naturally collaborative; skilled at engaging and coordinating groups to work towards shared goals.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Experience working in fast-growth, dynamic, or start-up environments, ideally within technology or fintech sectors.

  • Strong project management skills, experience with contract negotiation, and awareness of health and safety or compliance within the workplace.

  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, G Suite, Oracle) and familiarity with modern facility management tools.
