ABOUT THE ROLE This is an in-house SEO lead position at a fast-growing AI-powered business communication SaaS startup, sitting within the Marketing team. You will own SEO strategy and execution end-to-end, starting with DACH and expanding internationally, with the goal of ranking prominently across both traditional search and AI-driven discovery tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and execute a multi-market SEO strategy, beginning with DACH and scaling internationally.
- Guide website and engineering teams on page structure, site architecture, and technical SEO best practices.
- Lead keyword research and competitive analysis across traditional search engines and AI-generated results.
- Write and commission SEO-optimized content to rank for target queries across markets.
- Manage a monthly SEO budget of €20,000-€30,000, coordinating with external agencies while retaining strategic ownership. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of full-time SEO experience with direct ownership of strategy and execution, and measurable results to show for it.
- Proven track record of executing SEO across multiple international markets and languages.
- Fluency in both English and German (written and spoken).
- Technical SEO expertise including crawlability, site architecture, and hands-on collaboration with engineering teams on implementation.
- Hands-on experience with website platforms such as Webflow or similar tools.
- Experience managing SEO budgets and external agency relationships while holding strategic direction in-house.
- Strong copywriting skills, able to produce content that ranks, not just content that is optimized.
- Familiarity with keyword research methodology across both traditional and AI search tools.
- Background in B2B SaaS, high-growth startups, or international digital marketing is a strong plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: €65,000-€100,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in Vienna, Austria.
