ServiceNow Lead Engineer - AI

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a ServiceNow Lead Engineer - AI based in India. This is a senior technical leadership role focused on advancing AI and automation capabilities within the ServiceNow ecosystem. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent solutions that improve enterprise workflows and decision-making. The role combines hands-on engineering with team mentorship and strategic technical leadership. You will work across cloud platforms, machine learning, NLP, data engineering, and Agentic AI technologies. Your work will support global enterprise environments and help turn emerging AI capabilities into scalable, production-ready solutions. Lead and mentor AI/ML developers while providing technical direction across complex ServiceNow and AI initiatives. Design, develop, train, deploy, and optimize machine learning models for predictive analytics, classification, clustering, and other enterprise use cases. Architect and deliver scalable AI solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments. Develop and fine-tune NLP and transformer-based models, including BERT and GPT-family models, for classification, summarization, sentiment analysis, and conversational applications. Build intelligent chatbots and AI-powered automations integrating ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, Azure AI, and related technologies. Design and engineer Agentic AI solutions capable of autonomous decision-making, adaptive behavior, and real-time interaction. Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data validation frameworks to support reliable AI and analytics solutions. Work with Apache Spark and Snowflake for large-scale data processing, analytics, and data warehousing. Optimize SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases for performance, scalability, and reliability. Translate complex data and AI insights into actionable business outcomes using visualization platforms such as Tableau and Power BI. Contribute to technical strategy, architecture, coding standards, solution design, and continuous improvement across the AI/ML practice. Requirements 5+ years of experience applying AI and automation within ServiceNow environments or closely related enterprise technology ecosystems. Proven experience in a senior or lead engineering role, including mentoring developers and guiding complex technical projects. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with practical experience using machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn. Solid understanding of algorithms, object-oriented programming, functional design principles, and software engineering best practices. Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn for data analysis and visualization. Strong cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud, including services such as SageMaker, Lambda, S3, and Vertex AI. Experience with big data technologies, particularly Apache Spark and Snowflake. Strong NLP expertise, including Hugging Face transformer models and cloud-based AI services. Experience designing and optimizing databases, data warehouses, and data-processing environments. Familiarity with Tableau and Power BI for communicating analytical insights effectively. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a structured approach to tackling complex technical challenges. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, influence, and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Adaptability and a strong learning mindset, with enthusiasm for emerging AI, automation, and Agentic AI technologies.
