Ghanaian universities, research institutions, SMEs, startups and private-sector organizations can join multi-country African research consortia under the SGCI STISA-2034 call in the Health or AI thematic streams.

The call supports African-led collaborative research aligned with STISA-2034. A consortium must include one lead applicant institution and at least two co-applicant institutions from participating SGCI countries, with institutions drawn from at least three eligible countries. Projects may run for up to 36 months. Ghana's country ceiling is GHS 800,000 per national consortium member. The general call states awards to successful consortium members are typically in the CAD 50,000–300,000 range, subject to each country's ceiling.
Eligibility requirements
For the Ghana component, eligible applicants include universities, research institutions, SMEs, startups and private-sector organizations. Ghana is eligible in the Health and Artificial Intelligence thematic working groups. Letters of support from authorized institutional representatives are required, and the Ghana Card is the primary identification for principal investigators and team members. The consortium-level rules require one lead institution plus at least two co-applicant institutions from different participating SGCI countries.
