Teams contain 3–5 members plus one mentor. Registration and concept-note submission run through 20 November 2026. Eleven teams are intended to advance to the development phase and receive an official IRD certificate plus a fully sponsored week-long training programme in Hanoi. The contest page states that travel and accommodation for the training week are covered by SIMPLE. The Grand Finale is planned for July 2027; travel and accommodation for that finale are also covered. Three finalist teams compete for cash prizes and each receives VR equipment for its home institution; no cash amount is currently stated.
