This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Development Engineer II - Frontend based in India. This role offers the opportunity to build the frontend foundations of a global commerce platform designed to support millions of small and medium-sized businesses. You will create customer-facing experiences across storefronts, checkout, catalogs, subscriptions, invoices, and contracts. The work combines frontend engineering depth with a strong focus on performance, resilience, accessibility, and internationalisation. Your interfaces will operate across 150+ countries, including challenging network conditions, slower devices, and embedded third-party environments. You will have significant ownership over performance budgets, observability, offline capabilities, and the quality of the overall user experience. Working in a largely greenfield environment, you will collaborate closely with product and design teams while helping shape modern commerce capabilities. The role also provides opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a fast-moving, remote-first engineering culture.
