The Analytic and Analyst Investigation Frameworks team is seeking an experienced application developer responsible for designing, developing, and deploying a complex, scalable web application that leverages a Kubernetes cluster to orchestrate a collection of containerized services.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Design and build scalable, high-performance web application architectures.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Python or Java.
Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Architect and implement data pipelines to ingest, process, and deliver data to applications.
Create dynamic, user-friendly data visualizations and interactive dashboards using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Solid, jQuery).
Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, automated delivery.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in production environments, ensuring performance and stability.
Partner cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver impactful solutions.
Clearly communicate technical concepts and system designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
14 years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or 4 additional years of relevant SWE experience in lieu of a degree).
Proficiency in Python or Java.
Experience with web application development frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, Spring Boot).
Experience with data pipelines and data processing tools.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of Kubernetes concepts including deployments, services, pods, namespaces, and resource management.
Experience with Kubernetes operators and custom resource definitions (CRDs).
Familiarity with Kubernetes monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Experience with Apache Spark is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
