Software Engineer, Full Stack

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer, Full Stack based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to build and evolve full-stack software supporting a modern healthcare platform. You will work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and third-party integrations to deliver reliable features from end to end. The position involves close collaboration with Product, Data, and Clinical Operations to turn business and operational needs into scalable technical solutions. You will contribute to integrations with healthcare and business platforms while maintaining strong standards for data integrity, security, and observability. The role combines hands-on development with testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. This is a remote opportunity suited to an adaptable engineer who enjoys ownership, technical breadth, and the pace of an early-stage environment.

Design, develop, test, and ship full-stack features across frontend applications, backend services, and database layers. Build and maintain integrations with healthcare, revenue cycle management, communications, CRM, and other third-party platforms. Develop and maintain APIs and webhooks with reliable handling of idempotency, retries, synchronization, and data reconciliation. Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and queries while balancing performance, data integrity, and maintainability. Partner with Product, Data, and Clinical Operations teams to translate requirements into technical designs and production-ready software. Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests while contributing to code reviews, documentation, and engineering quality standards. Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and observability for the systems you build and maintain. Apply security and HIPAA best practices when working with protected health information and other sensitive data. Investigate and resolve production issues, collaborating across teams to identify root causes and implement durable solutions. Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and engineering workflows. Requirements: 3–6+ years of professional software engineering experience in a full-stack development role. Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript or TypeScript technologies, such as React or Next.js, combined with Node.js or Python backend development. Strong SQL skills and professional experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL. Experience designing, building, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs and third-party SaaS integrations. Comfortable working across the entire stack, from user interfaces and backend services to APIs and data layers. Strong testing and code-quality practices, including unit and integration testing, code review, documentation, and maintainable development patterns. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote startup environment while communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or comparable platforms. Experience in healthcare or another regulated industry, including familiarity with HIPAA and protected health information, is a plus. Experience with healthcare platforms such as Healthie, Spruce, Candid, athenahealth, or similar EMR and RCM systems is desirable. Familiarity with healthcare data, including clinical, claims, or operational datasets and platforms such as Snowflake, dbt, or Sigma, is a plus. Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, or X12/837-835 is beneficial. Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD practices is an advantage. Previous experience in an early-stage startup and comfort working with ambiguity and changing priorities are highly valued. Benefits: $140,000–$155,000 annual compensation.
