Software Engineer II

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer II based in Canada. As a Software Engineer II, you’ll build and operate backend systems that support accurate customer outcomes after financial transactions are completed. You’ll work on high-scale systems where reliability, correctness, and timely resolution directly affect the customer experience. The role offers the opportunity to solve complex distributed-systems challenges while contributing to one of the organization’s fastest-growing product areas. You’ll collaborate closely with product management, design, analytics, compliance, and engineering partners to turn business needs into robust technical solutions. With support from senior engineers and managers, you’ll break larger initiatives into deliverable phases and take ownership of meaningful engineering work. You’ll also contribute to system availability, monitoring, operational excellence, and on-call responsibilities. This is a remote-first opportunity for an engineer who enjoys learning, collaborating, and building reliable software at scale.
