ABOUT POLYMARKET Polymarket is the world’s largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. ABOUT THE ROLE Polymarket is looking for a pragmatic and resourceful full-stack engineer to join our team. This role sits at the heart of how Polymarket operates. You'll embed on different teams across all of Polymarket, deeply understand how they operate and their strategic goals, and accelerate them through building and expanding our operational systems. These systems center around Mission Control: the platform Polymarket uses to run Polymarket. For example, Mission Control is used across Polymarket to support Customer Success and is critical to how we create, configure, and launch markets. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real ownership, thrives on a diverse set of problems, and enjoys delivering value at the business level. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and expand Mission Control. Build and evolve the systems used to run Polymarket – the engine that drives Polymarket's markets, content, and growth.
- Build markets automation. Design and implement pipelines that streamline how new markets are researched, structured, deployed, and managed at scale.
- Ship deployments end-to-end. Take features and improvements from concept to production, with real impact on how the business operates every day.
- Work across a broad set of systems. Mission Control represents the broad range of operational systems (APIs, dashboards, workflows) that support teams across the company and tie directly into the core product.
- Work across the stack. Touch both frontend and backend code, using modern frameworks to solve practical problems quickly and cleanly.
- Partner with operations teams. Work closely with the people using these systems daily: understand their workflows, gather feedback, and iterate fast.
- Write clean, maintainable code. Build systems that scale as Polymarket grows, and help keep our codebase high quality through code reviews and engineering best practices. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4-5+ years of professional software development experience
- Solid experience building full-stack web applications
- Strong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS
- Experience with React and Node.js (Next.js is a bonus)
- Strong customer empathy: you're good at understanding what different teams actually need, not just what they ask for
- A bias for action: you're comfortable shipping quickly and iterating based on real feedback
- Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching: you can manage multiple systems and stakeholders without losing momentum
- Great communication and collaboration skills: you enjoy working across teams to solve real problems
- A passion for blockchain, decentralized finance, and freedom of speech
- (Plus) Experience in an embedded or field engineering role, working directly alongside product or operations teams
- (Plus) Experience with workflow automation or deployment pipelines
- (Plus) Background in fintech, crypto, or data-heavy applications
- (Plus) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent BENEFITS

- Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories PAY TRANSPARENCY Base salary range: $250,000 to $500,000 annually, plus equity and benefits. This range reflects a good-faith estimate for this position. Experience levels vary widely within a title here, so please reach out even if your expectations fall outside it.
