ABOUT HIPP Hipp is an AI-native healthcare platform built to modernize operations for non-hospital healthcare providers. We partner closely with ABA, behavioral health, and therapy organizations to streamline clinical workflows, billing, and revenue cycle operations - so providers can focus on delivering care. Our platform combines EMR, billing infrastructure, and operational workflows with AI-driven automation, helping providers run more efficient practices and improve patient outcomes. We’re building the next generation of healthcare infrastructure and are looking for curious, motivated early-career engineers who want to build real systems and learn quickly in a fast-moving startup environment. Role Overview As a Software Engineer Intern / New Grad, you will work closely with experienced engineers to design, build, and ship features across the Hipp platform. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who want hands-on experience building production systems while learning modern engineering practices. You will contribute to real product development, collaborate across teams, and gain exposure to the challenges of building scalable healthcare infrastructure. What You’ll Do
- Build and ship production features used by healthcare providers every day
- Work on backend services, APIs, and frontend systems across the Hipp platform
- Design and implement scalable systems supporting Hipp’s AI-native EMR and billing platform
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality features
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions
- Take ownership of meaningful projects and see your work move from idea to production WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals
- Experience with at least one programming language such as:
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- Python
- Go
- Java
- Familiarity with modern web development technologies (React, Node.js, APIs)
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for learning new technologies
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with distributed systems or microservices
- Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Personal projects, open-source contributions, or startup experience
