ABOUT THE ROLE Join a small, fast-moving engineering team building a mobile-first internet marketplace product that brings together AI, real-time pricing, and multi-marketplace infrastructure. You will own features end to end and help shape technical direction, engineering practices, and product quality. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and optimize cross-platform mobile features using React Native and TypeScript.
- Design and implement serverless APIs using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and RDS.
- Write infrastructure as code with AWS CDK or SAM, and deploy the systems you build.
- Scope and estimate mid-to-complex features with technical precision.
- Review code, establish testing standards, and mentor junior engineers.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, observability, and on-call reliability for your services.
- Use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot for multi-file and architectural work. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including production mobile or full-stack work.
- Strong TypeScript and React Native skills, including experience debugging native bridge issues, optimizing rendering, and delivering polished user experiences.
- Solid Node.js and REST or GraphQL API design skills, with serverless architecture experience preferred.
- Production experience with AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and IAM.
- Experience owning features through scoping, development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Comfort using agentic coding tools as part of your regular workflow and working in a small team where you help create structure.
- A bachelor's degree. Marketplace, fintech, data-intensive consumer products, real-time pricing, websockets, or event-driven architecture experience is a plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. LOCATION Hybrid in San Francisco, California, United States.
