The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, Technical Delivery and Architecture, the Solution Architect is responsible for developing and delivering technology architecture and design strategies and solutions that support organizational functions and fulfill business goals. This role will partner with business stakeholders and solutioning teams to lead and drive the implementation of technology solutions incrementally towards the enterprise architectural goals.

What your day looks like:
- Lead architecture discovery, solution strategy, and technology assessment for key business initiatives
- Design secure, scalable, and resilient end-to-end solutions across applications, cloud, integration, infrastructure, and disaster recovery
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor solutions to drive innovation and business value
- Assess solution options and provide architectural recommendations aligned with business objectives and enterprise standards
- Develop architecture roadmaps and target-state solutions that support business growth and technology modernization
- Drive modernization initiatives across cloud platforms, application transformation, APIs, and automation
- Govern and optimize the application portfolio through lifecycle management, rationalization, vendor consolidation, risk reduction, and cost optimization
- Champion architecture standards, governance, and reusable design patterns across the organization
- Lead architecture reviews and guide the adoption of new technologies and strategic platforms
- Serve as the architectural lead for complex initiatives, influencing technical direction and delivery outcomes
- Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategy into practical, technology-enabled solutions that deliver measurable value
Requirements
Your experience and skills:
- Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- 5+ years of experience leading technical architecture discussions with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture, including cloud governance, security, resiliency, and operational excellence
- Proven experience architecting API-first and enterprise integration solutions using Azure API Management (APIM) or similar API gateway platforms
- Hands-on experience designing cloud-native and microservices-based solutions using Azure Container Apps, Kub
- Experience integrating cloud and on-premises platforms within hybrid enterprise environments.
- Strong architectural decision-making skills, including evaluating risk, cost, security, scalability, and implementation trade-offs.
- Experience developing architecture roadmaps, target-state architectures, and technology modernization strategies.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with business leaders, product teams, engineering teams, and external partners to define solution strategies and implementation plans.
- Experience with architecture governance, solution reviews, architecture decision records (ADRs), vendor assessments, and build-versus-buy evaluations.
- Strong knowledge of Agile delivery and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and championing architectural best practices.
- Experience within regulated industries such as Financial Services, Wealth Management, Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or Government is considered an asset.
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $150,000 - $168,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
