Amazon is looking for an S&OP Analyst to support the planning activities that enable fast, on-time, and low-cost fulfillment for Amazon and our Selling Partners.
This is a tactical role within the S&OP team, focused on executing inbound, inventory, and outbound planning cycles and contributing to forecasting improvement initiatives such as bias correction and WAPE reduction. You will use SQL, Excel, and BI tools to maintain planning inputs, track execution against plan, and flag deviations to senior planners. The role requires attention to detail, comfort with data, and the ability to follow defined processes while identifying opportunities to optimize them.
Working within one team, you participate in the planning processes, interacting with key stakeholders to improve forecasting quality/accuracy. This position requires technical skills in data analysis and demand planning. The role balances short-term execution with process optimization, requiring trade-offs between time and resources while delivering impact against team goals and project metrics.
Key job responsibilities Outbound demand forecasting: validate inputs&outputs, apply adjustments, publish final demand. Forecast model calibration: weekly/daily bias corrections, seasonality updates, ramp curves for new nodes. Reporting: Monitor forecast accuracy (WAPE, bias), defect bridges, S&OP inputs and develop corrective plans to reduce variances.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in supply chain
- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL/Python/R, scripting, MS Excel, table joins, and aggregate analytical functions
