Students must first be nominated by their home university; self-nominations are not permitted. For the Spring semester, the official nomination deadline is November 1 and the application deadline is November 15. Exchange students may take 5–30 ECTS credits in a semester. Housing is available for partner-university exchange students for AED 12,700 per semester plus a refundable AED 1,000 deposit. SUAD states that it handles visa and health formalities for foreign students; the published combined cost for visa formalities and one year of health insurance is AED 2,700 and is non-refundable. These are costs, not scholarship benefits.
Eligibility requirements
Undergraduate and graduate exchange students from the partner institutions listed by Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi may apply. Undergraduate applicants must have completed at least two semesters before arrival. English-taught courses require the stated English standard, such as IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 79, Cambridge CAE B, or the published native-English/education alternative; French-taught courses require B2-level French under the listed accepted tests.
