Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sourcing Manager Lead based in the United States. This role leads critical supplier risk and materials compliance programs within a strategic sourcing and procurement organization. You will shape governance, controls, and processes that strengthen supplier resilience and regulatory readiness. The position spans financial risk, ESG and sustainability, sanctions screening, insurance compliance, and material disclosure initiatives. You’ll work across procurement, legal, compliance, engineering, quality, sustainability, finance, and operations to resolve complex supplier risks. The role combines strategic program leadership with hands-on analysis, reporting, supplier engagement, and continuous improvement. It offers an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide sourcing practices while working with external risk partners and diverse supplier networks. The position is remote within the United States, with limited travel of approximately 1–20%.

Lead and continuously improve supplier risk management programs across the sourcing and procurement lifecycle, covering financial risk, ESG and sustainability risk, sanctions screening, operational risk, and supplier insurance compliance. Own materials compliance and disclosure initiatives, including PFAS identification, restricted substance data collection, supplier material declarations, and progress toward full material disclosure. Coordinate with third-party risk management providers and suppliers to collect, validate, and maintain risk, compliance, insurance, ESG, sanctions, and materials information. Partner with Sourcing, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Quality, Sustainability, Finance, and Operations leaders to communicate risk findings and develop effective mitigation plans. Escalate critical supplier risks and drive corrective actions through timely resolution, even when working across teams without direct authority. Establish risk scoring methodologies, dashboards, KPIs, supplier scorecards, escalation processes, and executive reporting to provide visibility into supplier risk and program performance. Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, controls, supplier engagement, and governance through continuous improvement. Support procurement transformation initiatives, supplier management improvements, and responses to emerging regulatory, compliance, and business-risk requirements. Provide clear, actionable insights to suppliers, sourcing teams, functional leaders, and senior executives regarding risk exposure and mitigation priorities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Sustainability, or a related discipline. Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, APICS/CSCP, PMP, or a compliance/risk certification is preferred. 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, supplier risk, materials compliance, sustainability, quality, or related supply chain functions. Demonstrated experience developing or managing supplier risk programs involving financial assessments, ESG reviews, sanctions screening, supplier due diligence, insurance certificates, and corrective action tracking. Working knowledge of materials compliance and product regulatory requirements, including PFAS, restricted substances, supplier material declarations, and full material disclosure. Ability to translate complex regulatory, risk, and supplier requirements into practical procurement processes, controls, reporting frameworks, and engagement strategies. Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to align stakeholders and drive action without direct authority. Strong analytical capabilities, including experience developing KPIs, dashboards, supplier scorecards, risk-scoring methodologies, and executive-level reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk topics clearly to both suppliers and senior leaders. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with third-party risk management vendors, compliance platforms, or supplier data providers is preferred. Familiarity with Power BI/DAX, supplier management systems, GRC platforms, PLM systems, or ERP systems is an advantage. Experience with direct materials, manufacturing suppliers, electronics, components, or regulated product categories is preferred. Willingness to travel approximately 1–20% . Benefits Competitive compensation package; the original posting does not specify a confirmed salary amount. Health care coverage. Dental coverage. Vision plans. 401(k) benefits. Commission and/or incentive compensation may be available depending on the role. Remote work opportunity within the United States. Equal opportunity employment and reasonable accommodation support throughout the hiring process. Opportunity to influence enterprise-wide supplier risk, procurement, sustainability, and materials compliance initiatives.
