About BJAK

The original mission of BJAK is we believe people deserve smarter ways to plan, save and grow their money. This is the origin of our name.

Started in 2019, we built the first mobile-first, insurance platform, enabling insurance to be accessible online by millions in the region. Today, its the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia.

Today, we are expanding ways to help people in the region — this includes spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more. Our mission is help people get more from their money every day.

We have teams working around the world, with over 20 nationalities from our offices and remotely, who truly enjoys their work. We are looking for the most talented and driven people we can find. We are looking for people who work for their passion, not counting hours. Who loves building great next-generation products, not status quo. Who cares about redefining how everyone around us can get the best financial applications, not for an exclusive few.

If you're this person, we'd love to talk to you.

About the Role

As a Special Officer in the CEO Office, you will work directly with the CEO on the company's highest-priority initiatives.

This is a role for exceptional generalists who can quickly understand complex problems, drive execution across functions, and deliver results under ambiguity. You will be expected to move between strategy, operations, product, business development, recruiting, and special projects as business priorities evolve.

No two weeks will look the same. You will help solve the problems that matter most to the company.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Partner directly with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives across the business.

  • Lead cross-functional projects from idea to execution.

  • Conduct market, competitive and business research to support decision-making.

  • Break down complex problems into clear, actionable plans.

  • Coordinate execution across product, engineering, operations, finance and other teams.

  • Build operating processes that improve speed and execution quality.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.

  • Prepare business analyses, presentations and executive materials.

  • Support partnerships, investments, fundraising and other strategic opportunities when required.

  • Represent the CEO in meetings and follow through on key action items.

  • Take ownership of critical projects and deliver measurable outcomes.

What You Will Need

  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical ability.

  • Strong business judgment with the ability to make decisions from incomplete information.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to learn new industries and domains quickly.

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working across multiple disciplines, including business, product and operations.

  • Strong sense of ownership with a bias toward execution.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.

  • Demonstrated record of leading challenging projects or solving difficult problems.

Our team & culture

We’re a lean, high-performance team that moves fast and holds a high bar. Titles don’t matter here - output, integrity, and ownership do. Everyone is expected to roll up their sleeves, contribute meaningfully, and take initiative.

We reward people who think like owners. We value speed, clarity, and relentless ownership. If you’re hungry to grow and care deeply about excellence, this is your kind of environment.

What will you get

  • Competitive salary and trusted position supporting a high-level leader

  • A dynamic, fast-moving environment where you’re valued for your reliability and ownership

  • Occasional exposure to business-side support for broader growth and experience

Location

This role is remote, but candidates must be based in China. We are hiring specifically for this market, so applicants should already be based in China.

Language

English is our main working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required.

Interview Process:

Our process is designed to move fast:

  • Online assessment or practical task

  • Role-specific interview

  • CEO / final round

For strong candidates, we aim to complete the process and make an offer within 1 week from the start of the interview process.

Candidates who complete assessments quickly will be prioritized.
