The Specialist Economist will be responsible for delivering high-quality impact assessment reports, white papers, policy research, and revenue-generating research studies. The incumbent will independently drive Economic and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) engagements, ensuring methodological rigor, analytical excellence, and timely delivery. The role involves conducting primary and secondary research, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, developing actionable insights, and preparing client-ready reports and presentations. The individual will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, clients, policymakers, and industry participants to understand business requirements, provide evidence-based recommendations, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives that support client objectives and business growth.

Work Location: 4 days a week from the BKC, Mumbai office and 1 day a week from the Turbhe, Navi Mumbai office.

Serve as the primary interface for internal sales teams and external stakeholders to drive growth in Economic Impact Assessment, Social Impact Assessment, CSR Impact Assessment, and Policy Evaluation services. Lead client discussions, identify and qualify opportunities, develop tailored proposals and methodologies, support solutioning, and convert prospects into long-term client engagements. Lead the end-to-end execution of impact assessment mandates, including research design, data collection, stakeholder consultations, economic and social impact modelling, policy analysis, report writing, quality assurance, and client presentations. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, insight-driven reports and actionable recommendations that meet client and stakeholder expectations. Deliver in-depth macroeconomic and microeconomic analyses, offering a 360° perspective on India's growth trajectory, policy developments, and economic risks in a timely manner. Assess structural trends across key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, services, infrastructure, and the financial ecosystem, producing white papers and articles that offer unique insights. Design and implement robust systems and models to forecast critical economic indicators, including GDP, inflation, trade balances, fiscal metrics, and sector-specific trends. Utilize advanced quantitative techniques to support predictive analytics and scenario building. Leverage large datasets to uncover economic patterns and trends. Maintain, enhance, and validate complex economic databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy to support analytical outputs. Lead comprehensive sectoral studies covering rural consumption, production efficiencies, supply chain dynamics, credit flows, external trade, and financial market trends. Identify emerging risks and opportunities at both macro and micro levels. Develop high-quality whitepapers, policy briefs, and opinion pieces that influence stakeholders across industries, financial institutions, and government bodies. Represent the group in internal & external forums, client briefings, media interactions, and time-critical insight requests, positioning the firm as a trusted voice on Indian economic matters. Deliver timely, high-impact analyses on key economic events, data releases, and policy changes, ensuring that clients receive quick, responsive, and actionable insights. Provide bespoke economic insights tailored to client needs, including risk assessments, investment analyses, and strategic recommendations. Engage directly with clients to present findings, address queries, and offer consultative expertise.

Advanced degree in Economics (Master’s or Ph.D.) with a strong foundation in macroeconomics, econometrics, and quantitative analysis. 10+ years of relevant experience in economic research, policy analysis, consulting, or financial services, with a proven track record of delivering impactful economic insights on India and global economies. Deep understanding of India's economic structure, including rural and urban consumption trends, production ecosystems, external trade dynamics, credit and lending markets, and financial sector regulations. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex economic concepts into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including media engagements. Strong client-facing capabilities with experience in presenting economic insights to senior stakeholders, policymakers, and industry leaders.
