Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Commercial Account Executive - Health Plan based in United States. This is a senior enterprise sales role focused on driving new-logo growth across the U.S. health plan market. You will lead complex, high-value opportunities involving executive, clinical, actuarial, and technology stakeholders. The role combines deep payer-market expertise with consultative selling, strategic account development, and enterprise deal leadership. You will help shape segment strategy, competitive positioning, and go-to-market priorities beyond your individual pipeline. As a trusted advisor to senior health plan leaders, you will connect data, analytics, and technology solutions to measurable business outcomes. The position offers a remote-first environment with significant autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and up to 30% travel. You will also contribute as a market expert and mentor, helping elevate enterprise sales capabilities across the broader organization.

Drive new client acquisition and revenue growth across health plans by identifying, developing, and closing complex, high-value enterprise opportunities aligned with strategic priorities and the solution portfolio. Own the full enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and close, while navigating complex buying groups and extended sales processes. Develop targeted go-to-market strategies for health plan prospects using industry expertise, data, relationships, and market intelligence to create new opportunities and expand market presence. Partner with sales leadership to contribute to health plan segment strategy, including ideal client profiles, segment priorities, differentiated value propositions, and execution approaches. Serve as a subject matter expert on health plan buyer dynamics, providing insights that influence go-to-market strategy, product positioning, packaging, competitive messaging, and roadmap discussions. Build and maintain a strong network of health plan executives, industry analysts, conference communities, and other market influencers to generate intelligence and business development opportunities. Establish trusted relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders, engaging multiple decision-makers and influencers throughout complex enterprise buying processes. Collaborate with marketing, solution consulting, delivery, legal, and executive leadership to develop compelling value propositions, structure multi-solution opportunities, and ensure effective transition from acquisition to client success. Bring competitive and market insights back to internal teams to strengthen positioning, packaging, solution development, and broader health plan market strategy. Mentor and informally guide less experienced sellers on enterprise deal strategy, health plan market dynamics, executive engagement, and consultative selling best practices. Monitor emerging health plan trends, regulatory developments, competitive movements, and market needs to inform proactive sales strategies and customer engagement. Own a significant portion of the health plan segment's new-logo bookings target and consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance objectives. Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate sales forecasting while managing complex deal structures and long-term strategic opportunities. Requirements 12+ years of progressive B2B enterprise sales or business development experience, with deep specialization in health plan or payer environments. Proven hunter mentality and a strong track record of achieving or exceeding new-logo sales targets in complex, consultative, enterprise-scale sales environments. Recognized expertise in the health plan market, including payer buyer dynamics, competitive landscapes, regulatory trends, and the business value of data and analytics solutions. Demonstrated ability to navigate sophisticated, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles involving C-suite, clinical, actuarial, technology, and other senior decision-makers. Experience structuring and leading large, multi-solution opportunities designed to create long-term strategic partnerships rather than transactional relationships. Track record of contributing market intelligence and strategic insights that influence go-to-market strategy, product positioning, competitive messaging, or broader business direction. Exceptional prospecting, negotiation, presentation, storytelling, and closing skills, with the ability to coordinate resources across multiple internal functions. Ability to develop compelling business cases, ROI analyses, and future-state visions that resonate with senior health plan executives and connect solutions to measurable outcomes. Strong executive presence and consultative communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Experience mentoring or informally guiding other sellers on complex deal strategy, market navigation, executive engagement, and enterprise selling. Strong commercial and business acumen, including experience with pipeline development, sales forecasting, quota management, and complex deal structures. Established industry network capable of generating market intelligence, executive relationships, and qualified business development opportunities. Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% as required. Benefits On-target earnings range of $263,680–$395,520 USD . Remote-first, work-from-home culture. Flexible vacation designed to support rest, personal commitments, and time with loved ones. Paid leave benefits. Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) retirement savings plan. Infertility benefits. Tuition reimbursement. Life insurance. Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Opportunity to work on healthcare data, analytics, and solutions that support health plan performance and population health. Senior-level exposure to enterprise healthcare organizations, strategic accounts, and complex multi-solution sales opportunities.
