Sr. Commissioning Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Commissioning Manager based in Canada. This senior leadership role will oversee commissioning delivery for utility-scale battery energy storage projects across North America. You will lead a team of Commissioning Managers while providing strategic and technical direction throughout the transition from construction completion to energization, testing, and commercial operation. The position combines portfolio-level planning, field execution, resource management, and technical problem-solving across complex energy infrastructure projects. You will serve as a senior escalation point for customers, utilities, contractors, and internal stakeholders, helping resolve critical technical, safety, schedule, and operational challenges. Your expertise will be essential to ensuring commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with project and grid requirements. The role offers the opportunity to influence multiple geographically dispersed projects while developing technical teams in a rapidly growing renewable energy environment. Regular travel across North America will be required, with extended onsite assignments during key project phases.
