Sr Implementation Mgr

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Implementation Mgr based in the United States. This is a remote opportunity focused on leading the successful implementation of benefits solutions for midsize clients. You will serve as the primary client advocate, coordinating complex projects from initial requirements through launch. The role combines consultative client service, project management, plan design, and technical implementation. You will collaborate with clients, brokers, third-party administrators, internal teams, and external partners to deliver tailored solutions. Success requires navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and keeping projects aligned with scope, timelines, and quality expectations. You will also contribute to process improvements, team training, documentation, and broader departmental initiatives. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on client experiences while helping deliver effective health plan solutions.

Lead end-to-end implementation projects of moderate complexity, coordinating activities from project initiation and requirements gathering through final delivery. Act as the primary client advocate, maintaining strong relationships while keeping internal leadership and key stakeholders informed about project progress, risks, dependencies, and milestones. Analyze client requirements, plan designs, contractual commitments, and unique business needs to develop appropriate standard or customized solutions. Coordinate closely with clients, brokers, third-party administrators, external partners, and cross-functional internal teams to ensure effective project execution. Establish comprehensive project plans, timelines, dependencies, critical paths, responsibilities, and success criteria, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into functional specifications, design documents, implementation plans, and other project deliverables. Manage project scope, expenditures, resources, and timelines while identifying and addressing potential scope creep or delivery risks. Identify and secure the resources, materials, and cross-functional support required to meet implementation objectives and maintain project momentum. Perform implementation activities including plan requirement completion, data gathering, system configuration, communications planning, materials delivery, web-based demonstrations, and client training. Use a consultative approach to recommend solutions for standard and customized plan designs and guide clients through implementation decisions. Help standardize team tools, processes, documentation, and training while contributing to departmental initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Requirements 3+ years of client service experience within the benefits industry. At least 1 year of experience supporting special projects, with demonstrated project management and project-tracking capabilities. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Direct client-facing experience combined with implementation and/or project management delivery experience. Experience using project management tools such as Workfront and Monday.com. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work effectively. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coach clients on the effective use of online tools. Strong active listening, questioning, influencing, and consultative problem-solving skills. Ability to remain professional and composed in fast-paced, high-pressure, and high-demand environments, particularly during peak periods. Ability to learn new products and services quickly and adapt to evolving responsibilities, processes, and business requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the initiative and independence needed to address complex issues. Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Benefits Salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year, with actual compensation based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
