The Manager/Sr. Manager Capacity is responsible for optimizing vessel capacity utilization, maximizing profitability, and ensuring efficient operations within our shipping line company. This role requires a strategic mindset, analytical skills, and the ability to make data-driven decisions in a dynamic maritime environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage space control and execute overbooking strategies to maximize vessel utilization.
  • Select ships with optimal intake relative to volume prospects, considering vessel size, design, and associated port dues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, overseas agents, and clients.
  • Prepare and present capacity reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Lead pre-S&OP supply and capacity review processes to support overall planning.
  • Identify potential capacity bottlenecks and develop contingency plans.
  • Negotiate network rates and spot rates with carriers to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to optimize pricing and service offerings.
