Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Analyst based in the United States. As a Staff Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing credit performance and supporting portfolio strategy, financial planning, and funding decisions. You’ll work at the intersection of credit analytics, quantitative finance, and technology in a highly collaborative, data-driven environment. The role offers broad exposure to portfolio forecasting, valuation, risk capital analytics, and performance monitoring. You’ll partner closely with Machine Learning, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Capital teams to turn complex data into actionable business insights. You’ll also help strengthen analytical infrastructure, reporting, and governance practices that support critical decisions. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while deepening your expertise in credit risk and financial analytics.

Develop and maintain credit analytics supporting portfolio monitoring, forecasting, valuation, and strategic decision-making, ensuring analytical outputs are reliable, scalable, and actionable. Support loss forecasting, scenario analysis, portfolio performance measurement, and recurring reporting used by key business stakeholders. Contribute to risk capital analytics supporting funding strategies, including securitizations, warehouse facilities, forward-flow programs, and related financial activities. Analyze portfolio trends and translate complex findings into clear recommendations for product, credit policy, finance, and funding teams. Partner cross-functionally to establish consistent definitions, metrics, analytical frameworks, and business requirements across teams. Build and enhance data models, pipelines, dashboards, and automated reporting that enable reliable and self-service access to insights. Establish strong analytical practices around validation, monitoring, documentation, controls, and governance. Communicate complex analytical concepts and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Requirements: Bring 5+ years of experience in analytics, credit risk, quantitative finance, or a related discipline within fintech, financial services, consumer lending, or a similar environment. Demonstrate experience with credit risk, loss forecasting, portfolio analytics, valuation, or related financial-performance frameworks. Have working knowledge of risk capital and structured finance concepts, including areas such as securitizations, warehouse facilities, forward-flow programs, or investor reporting. Possess strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or R. Have experience working with large datasets and developing repeatable, well-documented analytical solutions. Be able to transform sophisticated quantitative analysis into clear, actionable business recommendations. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions. Experience partnering with Machine Learning or Data Science teams, particularly around underwriting or model-performance monitoring, is preferred. Familiarity with capital analytics, deal economics, risk/return frameworks, analytics infrastructure, dashboards, automated reporting, or GenAI-enabled analytical solutions is a plus. Exposure to model governance, controls, audit, model validation, or valuation review processes is valued, as is experience managing analytical projects and influencing stakeholders. Be comfortable working remotely while collaborating primarily with teams operating on West Coast time zones . Be willing to participate in periodic in-person team sessions, generally once or twice per quarter for approximately 2–4 consecutive days. For U.S.-based employment, candidates must be able to work in the United States. The role is not currently available to candidates based in Quebec. Benefits: Base salary of $157,000–$217,500 USD for U.S. remote employees, with actual compensation determined by geographic location, skills, experience, education, and training. Target bonus opportunities and annual equity grants that vest quarterly. 401(k) or Group Retirement Savings Plan with a company match of $2 for every $1 contributed, up to $15,000 annually . Employee Stock Purchase Plan with discounted stock purchase options for eligible U.S. employees. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with wellness resources and supplemental health coverage where applicable. Health Savings Account contributions for eligible U.S. plans. Life insurance and disability coverage for financial protection. Paid time off, sick leave, and company holidays in accordance with applicable requirements. Paid family and parental leave, plus family-focused support for fertility, parenthood, and caregiving. Employee Assistance Program providing mental health and life-support resources. Financial wellness resources, including planning tools and financial concierge services for eligible U.S. employees. Annual wellness allowance supporting physical health, emotional well-being, and personal development. Annual productivity allowance for tools and resources that help employees work effectively from wherever they are. Remote-first flexibility, with opportunities to connect through team events, company-wide gatherings, employee resource groups, and periodic onsites. Supportive, collaborative environment designed to encourage innovation, professional growth, and meaningful work.
