ABOUT THE ROLE This is a foundational engineering role at an early-stage AI data platform, where you will help design and build the core infrastructure powering a real-time people data and agent platform. You will work directly alongside executive leadership on technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap decisions that will shape the company for years to come. - Design, build, and operate core infrastructure including APIs, LLM-powered workflows, web scraping systems, and large-scale knowledge graph architecture.
- Architect and maintain production-grade systems capable of handling millions of API requests, with a focus on performance, cost efficiency, and reliability across cloud and Linux server environments.
- Own projects end-to-end, from ambiguous problem definition through deployment and iteration, shipping quickly without sacrificing system integrity.
- Collaborate directly with senior technical leadership on architectural decisions and roadmap priorities.
- Contribute broadly across the stack, including developer documentation, technical tutorials, internal tooling, and experimental builds. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 10 or more years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping code to production at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Linux servers in production environments.
- Experience with agent orchestration, LLMs, or web scraping.
- Experience designing or operating APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), or high-volume data pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to own ambiguous projects from architecture through deployment and iteration.
- A completed degree from a well-regarded university in a relevant field.
- Currently based in San Francisco and comfortable working in person.
- Background at a high-growth tech company or early-stage startup is a strong plus.
- Previous experience as a founder or early-stage engineer is a plus.
- No visa sponsorship available; must be authorized to work in the United States. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $250,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Equity is expected given the early-stage nature of the role. No visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, CA. This is an in-person role.
