This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Software Engineer based in India. This is a high-ownership engineering role for an experienced software professional joining a small, technically ambitious team. You will take complex and ambiguous problems from initial exploration through architecture, implementation, production, and continuous improvement. The role is primarily backend-focused while offering broad exposure across frontend, infrastructure, data systems, AI, and LLM integrations. You will have significant influence over product architecture, engineering practices, internal tooling, and technical culture. The environment values experimentation, autonomy, strong product judgment, and practical use of modern AI-assisted development workflows. It is an opportunity to solve challenging problems while helping raise the technical bar across a fast-moving startup.
