Startup applications closed on 31 August and this record does not present the pitch intake as open. The active attendee route provides a free seat to watch 15 selected startups pitch before an international jury, hear investor and technology talks, and join public networking sessions. The regional winner advances to the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco to compete for a $1 million investment prize, but that prize is for the selected startup competitor, not ordinary attendees.
