Strategist

The Role We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Strat Developer to join our Operations team.  The role will focus on the design and build of Operations specific workflow tooling and metrics gathering across multiple asset classes and Operational departments at Schonfeld.   What you’ll do   The role will be responsible for developing tools and driving automation for an agenda driven solely by Operations. You will work with the Operations product team along with relevant Operational groups to define initiatives and implement requirements as they are prioritized by the wider Operations organization. You will also be responsible for contributing to new and enhancing existing frameworks within Operations that would help us optimize efficiency and improve scalability. The outputs of the work will connect to existing technology infrastructure and drive economics and decision making of the Operations team and wider Schonfeld management as related to allocation of resources for investment decisions. The ideal candidate will enjoy interpreting business concepts to technical and system design and build components, and working with other strats and the business and technology partners to implement the results.   What you’ll bring What you need: Strong programming experience across variety of platforms such as Python, Java and C++ for building/optimizing Operations systems, UI’s and Dashboards Background understanding of Financial Products and their product lifecycle Prior experience working in Sell-Side or Buy-Side strat/technology teams Strong SQL skills and experience handling large financial datasets Proven track record to own and drive end-to-end delivery of complex systems from scoping to implementation Familiarity with modern UI frameworks (React, Angular) and/or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for building dashboards Experience being the liaison between technology & business teams, aligning solutions with business goals Experience implementing and maintaining business systems for information and data management Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrate excellent numeracy and analytical skills We’d love if you had: Background working alongside financing trading desks Experience working within Operations or within infrastructure side of business   Who We Are  Schonfeld is a global multi-manager hedge fund that strives to deliver industry-leading risk-adjusted returns for our investors.
