Who we are: GoMaterials is one of Canada's fastest-growing companies, recognized by Deloitte, the Globe & Mail, and the Lazaridis Scaleup Program. We’re revolutionizing how landscape contractors source plant and hardscape materials through a B2B marketplace that simplifies procurement in a traditionally outdated industry.
Since our inception, we have helped landscapers save time, money, and stress and plant over 1.5 million plants and trees. Led by a young and eager group of entrepreneurs, GoMaterials is aggressively expanding across North America. We are therefore looking for amazing people to add to our team!
About the role: If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, this opportunity is for you! In this role, you’ll support the sales team by sourcing and qualifying new business leads and suppliers, playing a key role in driving our growth from day one. You’ll have the freedom to share your ideas, make an impact, and gain valuable, hands-on experience, with the potential to join our team full-time after your internship.
Learn and Evaluate: Develop an eye for quality by learning how to distinguish between top-tier and substandard plant materials. Quality Assurance: Ensure all plants delivered to our customers meet our standards for health, quality, and size. Supplier Communication: Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve any issues when materials don’t meet expectations. Team Collaboration: Work closely with our operations specialists to maintain quality standards and ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Real Hands-On Experience: You’ll play a key role in developing and executing our 2026 supply chain plans, gaining valuable, hands-on experience that makes a real impact. Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field. Availability: Able to work full-time (37.5 hours/week); both 4-month and 8-month contracts are available for the right candidate. Languages: Strong written and spoken English; bilingualism in French is a plus. Software Skills: Comfortable using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) to organize, track, and communicate effectively. Flexibility: Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving startup environment where priorities can shift quickly. Empathy: Understands others’ perspectives and contributes thoughtfully during team discussions and problem-solving. Big-Picture Thinking: Excellent organizational and communication skills with a knack for prioritizing what truly drives results. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and precision in every task.
