Support Engineer, SAP BW (Evergreen)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Support Engineer, SAP BW (Evergreen) based in Brazil. This role provides expert remote support for mission-critical SAP BW environments across 4.x, ECC, and HANA landscapes. You will work on complex technical challenges involving BW architecture, data modeling, ETL, integrations, and performance. The position combines deep SAP expertise with hands-on troubleshooting in highly customized client environments. You will collaborate directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. The role also offers opportunities to advise key accounts, improve support processes, and contribute to internal technical resources. You will work within a global support organization and participate in a 24x7x365 support rotation with flexible working hours. Strong customer focus, technical curiosity, and the ability to remain effective under pressure are essential to success.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP BW issues involving data loads, InfoProviders, queries, data integrity, and system performance. Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, investigate issues, and deliver high-quality support. Support SAP BW customizations and provide technical recommendations aligned with best practices. Develop and implement fixes for BW defects and data-related issues. Provide technical and functional guidance on SAP BW topics to key accounts and customers. Use remote-access capabilities and proprietary tools to diagnose and resolve issues across test and client environments. Participate in a global 24x7x365 support rotation and adapt working hours as required by customer and business needs. Contribute to internal knowledge bases, diagnostic tools, documentation, and continuous process improvements. Take on additional job-related responsibilities based on business needs, role progression, and available opportunities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of SAP experience with deep knowledge of SAP BW, Basis, NetWeaver, and system integration. Strong hands-on experience with BW modeling, ETL, BEx, and performance tuning. Experience working with major database technologies and operating system platforms. Strong troubleshooting skills, persistence, and a structured approach to complex problem solving. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships. Strong understanding of application functionality, database tables, and system relationships. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. High attention to detail and the ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a global team. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in high-pressure situations. Comfortable working in both office and remote environments, including a virtual home-based setup. Fluent Portuguese and English are required; Spanish is considered a plus. Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is helpful but not essential. Benefits Remote work opportunity based in Brazil.
