SUSI is accepting new 2026/27 student-grant applications for eligible students on approved PLC, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with maintenance and/or fee support depending on course type and eligibility.

SUSI opened new applications for academic year 2026/27 on 1 April 2026. Support can include maintenance grants paid to students and fee grants that can cover eligible tuition, student contribution and essential field-trip costs. For 2026/27 the postgraduate fee contribution is up to €4,500. Award levels depend on household income, course, residency, distance and other scheme rules. The priority application date has passed, but SUSI continues to state that new applications are open; no current final closing date was found on the official pages checked.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet SUSI nationality or qualifying immigration-status rules, residency rules, household-income thresholds, previous-education/progression rules and approved-course requirements. The standard residency rule requires residence in Ireland, the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland for three of the previous five years; tuition-student treatment can limit support to fees.
