The official Switzerland country schedule lists Morocco for Research Fellowship and PhD scholarships. Current programme guidance sets the scholarship amount at CHF 2,450 per month. Research fellowships last 6–12 months; PhD scholarships begin with 12 months and can be renewed twice for up to 36 months subject to academic progress. Additional programme provisions can include compulsory health-insurance premiums for non-EU/EFTA scholars, a one-time CHF 600 rental-deposit allowance, a Half-Fare Travelcard and a return-flight allowance. The award is not a tuition-fee scholarship and applicants should check host-institution fees.
Eligibility requirements
For the research and PhD routes, applicants generally need a master’s degree or equivalent completed by 31 July 2027 (30 June 2027 for ETH Zurich), must have been born after 31 December 1991, must submit a detailed research plan, and must secure support from an academic supervisor at a Swiss higher-education institution.
