Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Core Hours: 1000 - 1400
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
You will work on a 7–9-person mixed Contractor/Civilian SA team supporting 3rd party systems.
All supported systems are Linux hard boxes or VM’s.
You will come in look at your monitoring, catch up on emails and your team Skype chat room for mission critical updates and hot issues then go to JIRA and start working off tickets.
The team supports a backend environment with Mission and Operations users and desktops so authentication, DNS, share drives and home directories.
TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
Level 2
Ten (10) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Level 3
Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
LINUX Administration
Solid experience with STE/STN, DISA STIG compliance work on Linux systems
Virtualization (VMWare, RH KVM, Proxmox …..)
Ip networking and Firewall exp.
Some experience with Containers/Cloud environments
Automation tools (Ansible, salt ..)
Scripting (bash, python, perl ..)
Storage Management solutions / arrays (NetApp, Isilon ….)
Hyper Converged Infrastructure exp (Harvester, Nutanix, Cisco HyperFlex…)
