TalTech accepts international students for individually arranged academic internships or supervised projects when a suitable professor agrees to supervise the work.
Complete internship details
The minimum internship duration is two months. Placements are based on academic cooperation rather than paid employment and are not centrally assigned. TalTech states that it does not cover accommodation, travel, insurance or living expenses. Students from outside the EU should begin at least 1–1.5 months before arrival because TalTech must register the internship as short-term employment with the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board. Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be currently enrolled at a university outside Estonia, need an academic internship or individually supervised project as part of their studies, and independently identify a TalTech professor whose research field matches their interests. The prospective supervisor must agree to supervise. Applicants send the professor a motivation letter, transcript of records, proposed exchange dates and work plan; after written acceptance, the confirmation is forwarded to TalTech for the next steps.
