This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Tax Senior or Supervisor based in United States. As a Tax Senior or Supervisor, you will provide tax preparation, review, compliance, and planning support for a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients. You will work on complex tax matters across individual, partnership, corporate, and multistate returns while helping clients identify opportunities to minimize tax exposure and support growth. The role combines technical tax expertise with client relationship management, engagement coordination, and team collaboration. You will research tax issues, respond to taxing authority notices, and contribute to year-end planning and quarterly estimates. At the Supervisor level, you will also help delegate, supervise, and review the work of less experienced professionals. This is a flexible remote opportunity with access to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Prepare advanced tax computations, workpapers, tax entries, and supporting documentation. Prepare complex income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, multistate entities, and other client structures. Review individual, partnership, corporate, multistate, and other tax returns for accuracy and compliance. Assist with year-end tax planning and preparation of quarterly tax estimates. Respond to IRS and state taxing authority notices and coordinate timely, accurate responses. Proactively coordinate, plan, and schedule workflows to support effective engagement management. Organize and coordinate client income tax information to ensure accurate and timely completion of engagements. Research technical tax issues and assist with resolving complex client matters. Verify the validity and accuracy of client financial information and supporting records. Initiate and manage client communications in coordination with staff and Partners. Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to Managers and Partners. Collaborate across departments to gather information and resolve client needs. Use relevant tax, accounting, and business software effectively. At the Supervisor level, delegate, supervise, and review the work of less experienced staff. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of public accounting experience. Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing business tax returns. Strong knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, tax law, and tax processes. Familiarity with financial statement procedures and the ability to distinguish between material and immaterial items. Working knowledge of GAAP and review, compilation, and auditing standards. Strong computer skills and proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to analyze client data, research technical issues, and develop creative solutions to tax-related challenges. Ability to delegate, supervise, and review work effectively, particularly at the Supervisor level. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and client needs while remaining calm and professional. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams. Benefits: Tax Senior salary range of $72,000–$102,000 annually. Tax Supervisor salary range of $87,000–$130,000 annually. Potential additional compensation through incentives, commissions, profit sharing, and other programs depending on the role.
