Technical Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Account Manager based in United States. This role is focused on building trusted post-sales partnerships with large and technically complex enterprise customers. You will act as a strategic technical advisor, helping customers maximize the value of their Postgres investments and advance their data strategies. You will provide guidance across architecture, solutions consulting, troubleshooting, and major technology initiatives. Working closely with senior technical leaders, you will translate business objectives into practical and scalable technical solutions. The role also serves as a critical bridge between customers and internal product, engineering, and sales teams. You will contribute customer insights, best practices, and technical expertise to improve products and strengthen long-term relationships. Up to 25% travel may be required to support customer engagements and strategic initiatives.

Establish strong working relationships with senior technical leadership and become a trusted advisor on Postgres, data platforms, and related technologies. Help enterprise customers maximize the value of their Postgres investments and identify opportunities to improve their technology strategies. Support customers in developing and executing Postgres adoption and deployment strategies. Provide technical leadership for major customer initiatives, including solutions consulting, architecture guidance, troubleshooting, and project management. Maintain comprehensive functional and technical knowledge across the product portfolio to address customer requirements and technical questions effectively. Serve as a front-line technical resource for best practices, informal customer questions, and complex technical challenges. Gather and communicate customer requirements and product feedback to internal product management teams. Document and share best practices for developing, deploying, and operating solutions in enterprise environments. Coordinate competing customer priorities while maintaining strong service, communication, and project execution. Travel up to 25% as required for customer meetings and strategic engagements. Requirements: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Postgres, Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, or another comparable relational database technology. Professional certifications in relational database technologies are desirable. Advanced technical knowledge across data management platforms, operating systems, cloud technologies, and technical architecture. Familiarity with data analytics and AI/ML concepts and their application within modern enterprise environments. Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-based technology environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when addressing complex technical and project management challenges. Understanding of strategic sales processes and the ability to connect technical solutions with customer and business objectives. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer priorities and competing demands effectively. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including confidence engaging with C-suite and senior technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent technical training or industry experience may also be considered.
