<p>We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager II to join Datadog’s Technical Solutions organization. This organization is made up of 1,200+ customer-facing technical experts around the world — including Sales Engineers, Technical Account Managers, Support Engineers, and Solution Architects — who work with prospects and customers throughout their journey with Datadog to deliver outstanding experiences and drive growth through product adoption.</p> <p>As a Technical Program Manager II, you will lead and support a variety of technical programs that help these customer-facing teams work more effectively. Depending on the needs of the organization, this could include programs related to internal tooling, process improvement, knowledge and content systems, or other cross-functional initiatives. You’ll partner closely with team leads, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to bring structure and clarity to moderately complex, cross-team programs, and you’ll act as a multiplier for the teams you support by driving programs from planning through delivery. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.</em></p> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Drive delivery of cross-team programs that support one or more Technical Solutions teams — coordinating stakeholders, dependencies, and timelines to keep work on track from kickoff through delivery.</li> <li>Partner with team leads, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate program goals into clear, actionable plans, and document scope, timeline, and quality expectations along the way.</li> <li>Establish and maintain program management fundamentals — project trackers, status updates, risk logs — so stakeholders always have visibility into progress and blockers.</li> <li>Identify unclear or incomplete requirements early and bring structure to ambiguous problems, escalating only when needed to keep execution on track.</li> <li>Use data to track progress against milestones, surface risks, and guide decisions; adjust plans as circumstances change.</li> <li>Apply AI tools to streamline your own program management workflows — synthesizing updates, surfacing patterns in program data, or accelerating documentation — and help identify where AI can improve processes for the teams you support.</li> <li>Communicate program status, risks, and impact clearly to stakeholders at different levels, adapting your message for technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Look for opportunities to improve how programs and processes run, and contribute ideas that make execution more efficient over time.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Who You Are</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Program Management Experience:</strong> 3-5 years of experience leading technical programs in a SaaS or technical environment, ideally including cross-team or cross-functional initiatives. Experience supporting customer-facing or technical support functions is a plus.</li> <li><strong>Execution-Oriented:</strong> Comfortable driving moderately complex, cross-team initiatives independently, with the judgment to seek guidance on larger or more ambiguous efforts. Solid foundation in project scoping, timeline management, and risk management; PMP, Agile training, or equivalent certification preferred.</li> <li><strong>Data-Informed:</strong> Tracks progress against established metrics and uses data to guide decisions, report status, and identify risks early.</li> <li><strong>Clear Communicator:</strong> Able to convey project status and ideas concisely to a range of audiences, from peers to senior stakeholders, adapting the level of detail as needed.</li> <li><strong>Collaborative:</strong> Builds trust through consistent delivery; works constructively across teams to resolve differing viewpoints and unblock progress.</li> <li><strong>Comfortable with Ambiguity:</strong> Able to identify unclear requirements, ask the right questions, and bring structure to partially-defined problems.</li> <li><strong>AI Fluency:</strong> Uses AI tools confidently in day-to-day program work and can evaluate where AI can be responsibly and effectively applied to improve program processes.</li> <li><strong>Growth-Oriented:</strong> Developing skill in giving constructive, empathetic feedback; may support the onboarding or mentorship of newer team members.</li> <li><strong>Technical Foundation:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.</li> </ul> <p><em>Datadog values people from all walks of life.
