ABOUT THE ROLE This is a pivotal commercial role at a seed-stage life sciences ingredient company, sitting at the intersection of science and sales. You will bridge the R&D team and buyers at leading supplement brands and contract manufacturers, turning warm leads into long-term partnerships and driving growth during an exciting early commercial phase. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the full sales cycle for B2B ingredient customers, from first contact through to signed partnership agreements.
- Act as the technical point of contact for prospective customers, translating complex science into compelling commercial value propositions.
- Build and nurture relationships with purchasing and formulation teams at supplement brands, contract manufacturers, and distributors.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings, with regular travel expected.
- Manage and progress leads through a CRM, maintaining accurate pipeline visibility.
- Collaborate closely with the lab and product team to align customer needs with ingredient capabilities and development priorities. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A completed degree in a relevant scientific or technical field, such as food technology, nutritional science, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry, or a business degree with a life sciences focus.
- 2 to 4 years of B2B sales, key account management, or business development experience in the ingredients, nutraceuticals, supplements, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven ability to sell technical or science-based products consultatively.
- An established network within the nutraceutical or ingredient industry, including familiarity with key events, distributors, and prospective customers.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are a strong plus.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.
- Experience with CRM tools and structured pipeline management.
- Familiarity with cyclodextrin-based formulation or similar drug-delivery technologies is advantageous. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: EUR 60,000 to EUR 80,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. LOCATION On-site in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany.
