This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Temporary HR Generalist based in the United States. This role joins a People Success team as a frontline HR advisor and administrator supporting employees and managers across the organization. You will help ensure HR processes are accurate, compliant, consistent, and aligned with evolving business needs. The position covers a broad range of employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration, leave management, and employee support. You will also contribute to reporting, compliance activities, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Success in this role requires strong judgment, organization, confidentiality, and a service-oriented approach. This is a fully remote, three-month fixed-term opportunity suited to an adaptable HR professional who enjoys working across diverse priorities.
Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance and support on HR policies, benefits, leaves, and general human resources inquiries. Coordinate day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and related administrative processes. Maintain accurate and compliant employee records within HRIS platforms, ensuring information is updated consistently and in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. Partner with managers on headcount tracking, job requisition approvals, internal mobility, and other workforce-related processes. Prepare, analyze, and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support informed workforce and people-related decisions. Administer and track leaves of absence, maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating timely communication, and supporting compliance with applicable laws and policies. Assist with compliance audits, HR recordkeeping, and monitoring updates to employment laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions. Contribute to employee engagement and culture initiatives that support a consistent and positive employee experience. Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives designed to streamline workflows, improve processes, and enhance service delivery. Manage additional HR responsibilities and projects as assigned, maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and responsiveness. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, an HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR, or equivalent relevant work experience. Experience working with HRIS platforms; experience with Workday is preferred. Solid understanding of HR principles and best practices, with working knowledge of employment regulations including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, wage and hour requirements, and health and safety standards. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively within a fast-paced environment. Strong judgment, planning, organization, time management, decision-making, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism. Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or comparable tools for HR reporting, data analysis, and metrics. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and initiatives from initial planning through completion. Strong service orientation and a consultative approach when supporting employees, managers, and other stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and productive relationships across diverse teams. Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable supporting evolving business and HR priorities in a remote work environment. Benefits: Fully remote position within the United States.
