This is an entry-level to early-career position responsible for conducting daily compliance reviews and screening activities to ensure compliance with applicable export control, sanctions, and trade regulations, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The successful candidate will perform Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, restricted-party screening, sales opportunity reviews, end-user due diligence, and transaction monitoring activities. The position plays a critical role in helping the company identify potential export compliance risks before products, software, services, or technology are provided to customers, partners, vendors, or other third parties. This role will work closely with the Legal, Compliance, Sales Operations, Finance, Customer Success, and Procurement teams and will escalate higher-risk matters to senior compliance personnel for further review. The analyst will be responsible for screening transaction parties using Descartes and ensuring appropriate documentation and records are maintained. Magnet's procedures require screening customers, vendors, banks, brokers, consignees, and other transaction participants against restricted party lists throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Support enhanced due diligence investigations when elevated risks are identified.

Maintain accurate records of KYC reviews and associated compliance determinations.

Restricted Party Screening

Perform restricted-party screening using Descartes and other approved screening tools.

Screen customers, end users, vendors, financial institutions, intermediaries, resellers, distributors, and other transaction participants against applicable sanctions and restricted-party lists.

Review and resolve potential screening matches.

Coordinate escalation of possible sanctions or export-control concerns.

Ensure screening is conducted at required points throughout the transaction lifecycle, including new transactions, customer updates, renewals, and other triggering events.

Sales Opportunity Reviews

Review sales opportunities and transactions for export control and sanctions compliance concerns.

Verify customer locations, end users, end uses, and transaction details.

Identify transactions involving elevated-risk countries, entities, government organizations, or industries.

Support review of reseller, distributor, and channel partner transactions.

Work with Sales Operations and Legal teams to resolve compliance-related questions before transactions proceed.

Export Compliance Operations

Support routine EAR and ITAR compliance activities.

Review requests involving international shipments, software access, demonstrations, evaluations, training, and customer engagements.

Assist with export authorization tracking and record maintenance.

Help maintain compliance procedures, work instructions, and training materials.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, IT, and Legal teams.

Escalate unusual, complex, or higher-risk transactions to senior compliance personnel.

Assist with employee training and awareness initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Supply Chain, Finance, Law, Public Policy, or a related field.
