Transportation Management SME (5627)

SMX is seeking a strong SAP Transportation Management (TM) experience on S/4HANA to support future-state design validation sessions for the Navy’s Plan-to-Stock team. This person must be able to shape the to-be design and the future state connection between Navy SAP TM and JTMS. Responsibilities: Lead and actively participate in future-state design validation sessions with Navy P2S stakeholders, functional leads, system integrator personnel, logistics SMEs, technical teams, and related JTMS stakeholders. Review current-state transportation and stock-replenishment processes, identify operational pain points and gaps, and translate validated business needs into practical SAP S/4HANA TM future-state capabilities. Shape the end-to-end to-be design for transportation processes supporting Plan-to-Stock activities, from transportation demand through planning, execution, tracking/visibility, freight settlement, and downstream financial or inventory impacts. Define how SAP S/4HANA TM should support transportation requirements. Required Skills & Experience   Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, transportation management, information systems, business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, computer science, or a closely related field. Hands-on SAP TM design experience in SAP S/4 HANA, focused on future-state process design and solution validation Ability to lead and facilitate design sessions that map Navy transportation needs into SAP TM capabilities Experience designing how SAP TM will work with external transportation systems (JTMS interface focus) Strong facilitation skills with business and technical stakeholders Minimum Secret DoD clearance required Desired Skills & Experience  Prior DoD or federal supply chain / logistics experience SAP EWM exposure is a plus     The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
